For the 20th birthday of the ROG series, ASUS is presenting a bundle featuring the redesigned Xbox Ally X with OLED display and AR gaming glasses. In parallel, the manufacturer rolled out an entire product line at Computex 2026 – from monitors to anniversary equipment.
ASUS is using the 20-year existence of its ROG gaming brand for a comprehensive product offensive. The centerpiece is the new ROG Xbox Ally X20 Bundle: Engadget reports that the limited edition equips the popular handheld with a new OLED panel – an improvement users have long demanded. The display is intended to make the gaming experience feel less confined and offer better image quality than the previous LCD panel. Included is an AR gaming glasses that are meant to complement the portable system.
The hardware itself differs little otherwise from the previous year's model, as Tom's Guide reports. The focus is on display technology – a proven upgrade pattern for handheld consoles. Golem documents that ASUS unveiled the ROG Edition 20 line during the Computex preview on Monday, thereby honoring two decades of ROG history.
But ASUS is not limiting itself to the handheld. In parallel, the manufacturer announced a broad product portfolio: Tom's Hardware reports of four new ROG monitors, including a world premiere OLED model with 540 Hz at 1080p resolution – an extreme value for esports professionals. Three of the new displays use OLED panels, one relies on "Fast IPS" technology.
The anniversary also includes lifestyle products: Vice reports of a ROG Destrier Edition 20 gaming chair and luggage items such as the ROG SLASH Hard-case Luggage Edition 20 – all in black with gold accents. Added to this are motherboards, peripherals and other components from the anniversary series. ASUS is signaling that ROG has long grown beyond pure hardware and has become a lifestyle brand for gaming enthusiasts.
