ASUS celebrates ROG anniversary with high-end peripherals and OLED monitors

ASUS is intensifying its 20-year ROG celebration with a wave of premium peripherals and display innovations. Tom's Hardware documents the new ROG Harpe II Extreme Edition 20 – a gaming mouse with 24-karat gold accents and a 65K sensor. In parallel, The Shortcut introduces the ROG Azoth Extreme Edition 20, a mechanical keyboard that, according to reviewer Matt Swider, impresses despite its premium price.

With displays, ASUS is pursuing an aggressive OLED rollout. The Verge reports that the manufacturer is presenting the ROG Strix OLED as an esports monitor flagship that achieves 540 Hz at 1080p – an industry first. In total, four new ROG monitors use OLED panels; only one relies on "Fast IPS" technology. A 32-inch OLED model drew particular attention, although hands-on testers also rated more compact variants as impressive.

Anniversary as repositioning opportunity

The product offensive shows how ASUS is leveraging the anniversary to reposition its gaming division. Alongside the already-known Xbox Ally X20 with OLED display and AR gaming glasses, according to Golem motherboards such as the ROG Crosshair X870E Edition 20 were also added. Additionally, ASUS rolled out lifestyle products: the ROG Destrier Edition 20 gaming chair and the ROG SLASH hard-case luggage Edition 20 combine gaming aesthetics with black and gold-accented designs.

The strategy combines hardware innovation (OLED displays, high refresh rates) with lifestyle positioning and limited exclusivity. In doing so, ASUS addresses both competitive gaming professionals and enthusiasts who view premium peripherals as statement products.
