Woman stabbed in Ferrara — husband arrested after emergency call

In the night leading into Thursday, a woman was killed in her apartment in Ferrara. ANSA reports that the victim was named Samanta Zironi and suffered multiple stab wounds. Investigators believe her husband Vladimiro Lombardi, 52 years old, committed the act.

According to authorities, Lombardi himself called emergency services and police. La Stampa reports that he led emergency responders to the location where his wife's body lay.
